This past week was packed with incredible moments—from cozy mornings in Denver to moose sightings at sunset in Laramie. We explored, ate well, and soaked in quality time with friends and family. Here’s a look at how our trip unfolded!

Travel Day – Wednesday Night Arrival
We arrived late Wednesday night in Denver and stayed with some of our closest friends. It was the perfect way to kick off our mountain getaway—lots of laughs and late-night catch-ups.
Thursday – Exploring Denver & Golden, CO
We started our day with a classic diner-style breakfast at Breakfast Queen in Denver. The skillets and breakfast burritos were top-tier, and the retro vibe made it even better.
The rest of the morning was spent cruising through estate sales in Cherry Hills—yes, we scored some hidden gems! Later that afternoon, we made our way to Golden Mill in Golden, CO, for drinks and appetizers with family. Zoey had a blast hanging with her aunt and cousin (even if she did manage to spill a couple of drinks—classic!).

We ended the day with a beautiful drive up to Laramie, Wyoming, soaking in the sunset along the way.
Friday – Vedauwoo Hike & Local Laramie Favorites

We hit the trails early with a family-friendly hike around Turtle Rock Trail at Vedauwoo Campground. It was the perfect intro to Wyoming's outdoors—easygoing and scenic.
Lunch was back at the campground (grilled burgers never tasted better).
That afternoon, we explored the Laramie Farmers Market, which had such a fun, laid-back vibe.

We wrapped up the night with drinks and dinner at Bond’s Brewing Company, a local favorite for good reason.
Saturday – Alpine Lakes & Homemade Pizza Night
Saturday was a full-on adventure day. We ventured out to Lake Marie and Mirror Lake, then hiked the Medicine Bow Peak Trail for unforgettable panoramic views of all three lakes—Lake Marie, Lookout Lake, and Mirror Lake.

After the hike, we stopped in Centennial for some well-deserved ice cream at Country Junction, then headed back for an evening of homemade pizzas on the Ooni fire oven.
The night wrapped up with a little GameCube nostalgia—Mario Kart and Mario Party battles in full swing

Sunday – Small Town Vibes & a Moose-filled Sendoff
Sunday started with amazing breakfast burritos at Andale Rapido (definitely worth a visit). The rest of the morning was spent enjoying yard games at home—Mölkky and Spikeball made for some fun family competition.
In the afternoon, we explored downtown Laramie, checking out local shops and grabbing drinks and appetizers at Broken Tooth Brewing and The Crowbar.
As our trip came to a close, we made one last stop at Turtle Rock—and were rewarded with eight moose sightings at sunset. It was the perfect, magical sendoff.
We left Wyoming and Colorado with full hearts, tired legs, and so many special memories. Already dreaming about the next trip west. 🌄
